Americans working in the UK: How easy or legal is it?
I know some countries in the EU have very restrictive laws concerning non-EU citizens trying to work in their countries. But I don't know much about the UK.
Answers:
If you work for more than 6 months you need to have a work permit applied for and issued before you start work in UK. Your employers have to convince the Home Office that they have no alternative but to employ a non-EU person to the post. (i.e. that they could not find an equally qualified or experienced EU citizen). For certain kinds of job - short term stuff, it can be easier. However, it is much les complicated and far more reasonable than the process involved for an EU citizen trying to get a job in the US!

theres a company called bunac.if you pay them like 200 dollars and are enrolled in college, they will hook you up with a work visa good for 6 months. otherwise youll have to find a job over there, and the job with take care of the paperwork for that, but again, its only good for 6 months.
