Anyone ever been to Edzell, Scotland?
If so, tell me did you live there or just visit? What were your thoughts on the area?
Answers:
I've stopped off there but never lived or stayed there. It's typical of many small towns in Scotland in that it's neatly presented, clean and tidy. The buildings are substantially built from local stone and as with the rest of Scotland, the inhabitants are very friendly people. I remember an arch which I think spans the main road into the town and there's the usual selection of shops, hotels etc.
There's a good website here which includes a picture of the arch (not at all how I remember it). http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/edzell/edzell/
We stopped off when returning from the hills just to the north, it's in a prime location if you like hillwalking, climbing or outdoor activities.
